Red Handle Project...finally done!

Had the weekend off, and planned to finish this project on Saturday. Saturday started out cold and icky, so it was real easy to procrastinate...and then my son called and said my granddaughter was in the area and wanted to see her Gramma. Her Mommy & Daddy have been going through their version of "War of the Roses" and, as a result, I haven't seen my sweet Ali since October...so I had NO problem dropping everything on my To-Do list for Saturday! We had a great afternoon, and when Ali left, Gramma needed a nap...know what I mean? Where do 2 year olds get all that energy...and how can I get me some of it?!!??? Anyway...finally got my faucet thing done this morning, and in between cooking goodies for Super Bowl munching, and laundry and all the rest of the stuff that seems to pile up so fast....I got it hung, I think, where I want it on the porch. Of course, that involves rearranging everything on the shelves around it, and wishing we could have gotten the outside of our ancient mobile home painted before it got cold! So, ignore the "fugly" wall behind it...painting will hopefully be done on our 3 days of Spring...before the rainy season starts. I was concerned that my hubby was not going to like the new arrangement...although he does tolerate my funky junk and peeling paint. As long as I hung the fishin' hole sign, and kept his wooden fish on the shelf he was happy. 'Course I had to explain that it's a work-in-progress...still need to finish up the chicken wings and just maybe find time for a shower and a couple hours sleep before Monday & work is here again...Still didn't win Lotto, so guess I have to go back to work! Oh well, I'm grateful that I have a job to go to, especially one that I enjoy {most of the time} & where I am appreciated..{most of the time :0}... Have a great week and I'll see ya'll next Sunday. I'm thinking of a post about cool stuff that's been rescued from the curb or other odd place that now resides in my home. Have to get the camera crankin' again! *elaine*

I love it also. I saw these old faucet handles in this magazine I just bought (creative home) and they were expensive. I think this is such a cool idea. Love it.

Well how stinking cute is that? I don't blame you for dropping everything for the g'baby! Heck, that's one of the few rewards we get for raising our children, right? Your porch is looking great. Deb
